Oscar A. Cruz Urrutia is a Puerto Rican student and researcher at the University of Puerto Rico. He was born on November 3 rd , 2003, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His bachelor’s concentration is in Economics and Politics and has had superb experience as an intern in the San Juan based nonprofit, Colaboratorio by Foundation for Puerto Rico. His interests focus range from a variety of topics within social science and humanities such as politics, Latin American affairs, diasporic literature, music, history, and psychology. In the summer of 2023, he has been focusing on research regarding the economic development of Cubuy, Naguabo by utilizing its unique location as an alternate point of entry for El Yunque National Rainforest to attract the Visitor’s Economy and propulsion of economic activity that comes alongside it. As future goals, Oscar aspires to further his current studies to the graduate level and to also embark on the study of Law when finishing his bachelor’s.
