Meaghan Bates, an artist and homeschooling mother from Montclair, NJ, discusses how her art speaks to our moment in history and how she has found inspiration from Black Lives Matter and the pandemic to create her work.  Through cutting and collage she experiments with contradictions, beginnings, and endings, joy and sorrow, falling apart and reinventing.  She speaks to us of her artistic journey and how it has helped her through her life’s transitions and healing journey.
